OUR STORY
Motus Digital was founded in 2007 as an independent motion capture studio, working with game and animation studios that needed high-quality character animation. As real-time 3D engines became widely accessible, we saw an opportunity to make our studio’s work available to developers of all sizes — and MoCap Online was born.
THE STUDIO
Motus Digital is the production studio behind MoCap Online. Based in the United States, our team brings over two decades of CGI and performance capture experience to every project. We have delivered animation to Hollywood productions, network television, AAA game titles, and independent studios worldwide.


FOUNDED IN 2007
Motus Digital started as a service studio, performing custom capture sessions for clients who needed realistic character movement for their projects. Over the years, we built a deep library of animation content and made it available through our online storefront, MoCap Online.

MoCap Online is the storefront of Motus Digital LLC, one of the longest-running independent motion capture animation studios in the industry. Founded in 2007, we have spent nearly two decades capturing, processing, and delivering professional-grade character animations to game developers, filmmakers, and 3D artists around the world.
Our Capture Process
Every animation in our library is captured using professional Vicon optical motion capture systems — the same technology used in major film and game productions. Our experienced performers bring authentic movement quality to each clip, whether it is a subtle conversational gesture, an athletic dance routine, or an intense zombie shamble. After capture, our technical team cleans, solves, and processes each take to ensure clean bone data that retargets reliably to standard humanoid rigs.
Format Compatibility
We deliver animations in every major format used in game development and 3D production. Our library supports FBX, Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, BIP (3ds Max), and iClone. Each format is optimized for its target application, so you get animations that work correctly from the first import without tedious manual cleanup.
Built for Game Developers
Our customer base spans solo indie developers shipping their first title through AAA studios needing specific animation sets. We price our packs to be accessible at every budget level — including a free animation pack so you can evaluate quality before purchasing. Every pack comes with our standard commercial license, covering use in games, film, VR, and interactive media.
