Do I need the MCO Retargeter project?
Only if retargeting to a different skeleton. If your character uses the UE4 Mannequin skeleton, animations work directly. For UE5 Manny, MetaHuman, or custom skeletons, use UE5 IK Rig and IK Retargeter.
Are these compatible with Unreal Engine 5.4+?
Yes. The animations are delivered on the UE4 Skeleton and can be retargeted in UE5 with IK Rig and IK Retargeter workflows.
Do the animations include root motion?
